We have DPD whilst staying at the YC, on the day we check out we check in to All Star Movies, can we use DP credits for our dinner reservation that evening before going to our new resort?

    Hi Julie,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for sending us another question. It sounds like you are going to have an incredible summer enjoying several Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, how fun!

The Disney Dining Plans are activated upon check-in and credits are valid until midnight of the day you checkout.  Since you are switching Resort Hotels, you will have two separate reservations and the Disney Dining Plan and Dining Credits will not transfer over to your next Reservation.  With that being said, you will still be able to use your credits on the day you check out of Disney's Yacht Club Resort and check-in to Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, as the credits expire at Midnight, much like Cinderella's magical adventure.  When you check-in to Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, I would mention to the Cast Member that you do have Dining Credits that you plan on using that day, just to make sure your reservations are in order.  We have had an issue in the past, but the Cast Members were quickly able to resolve the problem, but it required me to head back to the front desk.  If you mention your situation prior to heading out for the day, it may solve any issues that could arise and speed up your check-in process.

I hope that helps, Julie.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always here to help assist with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning.
