My DP will turn 5 while on our WDW trip 12/13-18. We dined at CRT previously, & saw only Cinderella w/ the mice & FGM. We had a b-day cake. What will Akershus do? Don't care if we pay more money

    Hi there Corinne,

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is the perfect location to celebrate your little one's 5th birthday.  The regal decor of the beautiful castle combined with a visit from the Storybook Princesses is sure to really enhance the experience!

My daughter has celebrated many a birthday at Walt Disney World, and I always call Disney Dining (407-WDW-DINE) prior to our arrival to have the special celebration notated to our reservation.  I also always make mention of it again when we check in at the podium!

In most cases, your table will be "sprinkled" with glittery Mickey-head confetti and the guest of honor will receive a special dessert (usually a cupcake) at the end of the meal.  On occasion, my daughter has received a Happy Birthday Card signed by the princesses as well, but even though that hasn't been the case every time we can always count on a cupcake...even for breakfast!

If you want to take your celebration to the next level, you can order a special celebration cake which can be brought out for your party to enjoy!  Basic cakes can be ordered at the podium, but if you want an extra special surprise, you can order a custom creation from the Disney Cake Hotline!  They have the capabilities to create the cake of your dreams whether basic or over the top! You can reach the Cake Hotline at (407) 827-2253.

    Best Wishes,
