Hi DP Moms, I am planning a trip in october 5 to 8. I will be traveling with 5 year old daughter and a 1 year old. Please guide me how to plan my trip. My 5 year old is scared of very fast rides. She loves princesses and dress up. Offsite or resort stay?

    Hi Ruchi,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love to plan for royal visits, so let us start with the princess activities. Our favorite character meals with princesses are Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare. We always bring the girls' princess attire with us - dress, shoes, tiara and, of course, glitter nail polish. Every princess also needs an autograph book so that she can document her royal greetings. Be sure to review all of the Disney Princesses at Walt Disney World Resort experiences to make sure your 5-year old gets to meet her favorites!

There are a variety of resort hotels that might be great options for your family. Given the benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, I definitely suggest that you select an on-site property. Just check prices between the value resort hotels, moderate resort hotels, deluxe and deluxe villa resort hotels. The value resort hotels are typically less expensive. Three of my favorite value resort hotels are Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's All-Star Sports Resort.

Ruchi, given your travel dates, time is of the essence. Book your vacation package as soon as possible, then make advanced dining reservations for character meals and make Fast Pass+ selections. Dining reservations and Fast Pass+ selections will save you valuable time in line!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
