Howdy, Courtney! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question. I hope you’re getting excited about your upcoming adventure to the Disneyland Resort!
Wheelchairs and electric conveyance vehicles (ECVs) are available to rent, but they can only be used in Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Rented wheelchairs are not permitted in the Downtown Disney District, unfortunately. So if you need mobility assistance while shopping, dining, or just making your way to the parks, you will want to bring a wheelchair from home or rent one from a third-party vendor. When I spoke to a Cast Member, they suggested contacting Deckert Surgical Company at (714) 542-5607 to see if they can provide what you need for your stay.
Before your visit, I recommend reviewing the
Guides for Guests with Disabilities. The guides outline which attractions will require you to transfer and those where you can remain in your wheelchair. Additionally, they will tell you where to enter the wheelchair-accessible queues for attractions. Sometimes it’s through the exit or there is an alternate experience altogether. If you have any additional concerns, stop by City Hall in Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park to discuss your needs with a Cast Member.
I hope you have a magnificent time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
