    Does downtown disney carry most or all of the merchandise that is found in the parks? I am looking to save myself some time shopping and we are going to downtown disney on our first afternoon. Thanks

    Hi Janelle:

    Thanks for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I was very happy to see your question, because I love shopping!  From my experience, Downtown Disney does have a great selection of Disney merchandise, along with some shops and items unique to Downtown Disney.  There will be some merchandise that is Theme Park Specific that will not be found in Downtown Disney, and sometimes as merchandise is sold, it may not be restocked, so you will find slight variations to merchandise found at different locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort Property.  For me, I like to hold off on major purchases until later on in my vacation, just to make sure I don't come across something that I like more.  I also find this is a good way to shop with children as well; their "little" purchases can really add up by the end of the vacation.
