I downloaded my Florida Resident tickets but was not asked to provide proof of residency. I have the tickets in my digital wallet. Do I need to activate them?

    Hiya Luis,

Welcome to planDisney! I’m so excited that you are planning an upcoming visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Let’s see if I can help you on the next step in your planning journey!

I’m glad you were able to purchase your theme park tickets already. I hope that you were able to take advantage of the summer 4-day ticket offer for Florida Residents! It is such a great way to explore Cool KID’S SUMMER this year! Since you mentioned you haven’t yet been asked to verify your residency, Luis, I want to let you know that you will need to do so when you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort before you can use the tickets. Even though you have the tickets, they typically aren’t fully activated until residency is verified. The great news is that it is a very simple process! All you need to do is show proof of residency at any ticket counter or Guest Relations at Disney Springs, and your theme park tickets will be activated for use. As a note, while valid proof of residency is traditionally a driver's license or state ID showing your Florida address, you can also provide current mortgage statements, homeowner’s insurance policies, select utility bills, and other forms listed on the website. If you aren’t bringing a driver’s license, you can provide an electronic copy if you don’t have a paper one, but make sure anything you provide is dated within the past 2 months and clearly shows your name and a valid Florida address.

I hope this was helpful, Luis. Before I let you go, did you by chance purchase tickets for other family members or friends? If you did, don’t forget that each person must be a Florida resident to use a Florida Resident ticket. So that means you must make sure that everyone has their own valid proof of residency. If you don’t want to start your day at a ticket counter, I highly recommend stopping at Disney Springs before your first park day (if possible) to activate your tickets. This will save you time in the morning and get you to the magical fun quicker. If there is anything else you need, Luis, please come back and see us. We are always happy to help.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
