Hello Sarah,
Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for asking us such an interesting question!
I love my Apple smart devices, and so far all of my iPhones have always worked seamlessly with the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. In fact, planning a trip to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort with a little pixie-dusted help from
My Disney Experience is simply supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Sarah, I'm happy to share that at present the
minimum device requirements for My Disney Experience to function correctly is iOS 13 and above. Therefore, to the best of my rather limited technical knowledge, your iPhone XS Max running on 14.8.1 should (I would have thought!) meet the minimum device requirements.
My best advice would be to begin by deleting the My Disney Experience Mobile App from your iPhone, then perhaps action an Apple update before reinstalling the App.
Hopefully with just a little faith, trust, and pixie dust that easy fix should work! However, if that's not the case, my best suggestion would be to speak in person with a knowledgeable Cast Member by dialling the telephone number for
My Disney Experience & MagicBands contained within this
Walt Disney World Resort Phone Directory.
I hope that I've been able to offer a little bibbidi bobbidi boo insight for you today Sarah. If you should have any further questions relating to your January 2022 plans to visit the most magical place on earth, then please do pop back any time to see
me here at planDisney.Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
