Hi there, Abby, and welcome to planDisney!
Being a Walt Disney World
Annual Passholder comes with so many perks, besides the frequent taps into the magic. The discounts on select food and merchandise, free parking at all four theme parks (the parking is already complimentary at Disney Springs and at the water parks), those cute season Annual Passholder magnets, and so much more. It is my pleasure to answer your question about possibly downgrading your pass, so that you can still take advantage of these sweet bonuses.
As Florida residents, we have many
annual pass options—ranging from a weekdays-only Disney Pixie Dust Pass to the no-blockout-dates Disney Incredi-Pass. While it is possible to upgrade your current pass outside of the renewal window, you have to wait for your window to open to downgrade it.
The Walt Disney World annual pass renewal window is 60 days before to 30 days after your annual pass’s expiration date. If you have any other questions about your annual pass, I’ve found it helpful to speak to a Cast Member on the
V.I.PASSHOLDERS hotline. They’re always super friendly and informative.
AN EXTRA GEM: Some years, my family enrolls in the Monthly Payment Plan so that we can pay as we go throughout the year. When first purchasing your annual pass, you pay a deposit, but then you’ll have an automatic withdrawal from your bank account at the same time each month. You also have the option of paying it off mid-year if you’d like.
From one Annual Passholder to another, I hope that your year is full of magical adventures, too. If you have any other Disney vacation planning questions, revisit us here at planDisney.
I’m all ears! Magic always,
LeAndra
