We will be down in November with our 2 and 6 year old children. Would you suggest a double stroller or two singles? We used a double last time we visited with the kids, but I wasn’t sure if others had a better experience with 2 strollers!

    Hi there, Katie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  What fun you are going to have this fall when you visit Walt Disney World Resort!  I love visiting the theme parks in the fall because the weather is a bit more bearable and depending on when your visit is, you may even get to experience some of the holiday decorations!  And, if you happen to be visiting when Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is scheduled, I highly recommend it!  We took our boys when they were younger and not only did they love it, but since it is a ticketed event, the lines for some of our favorite attractions were shorter allowing us to enjoy without long waits!

I absolutely love your question about whether or not one or two strollers is best, and I can honestly say that I have done it both ways!  Personally, we preferred to have two individual strollers at the theme parks with our boys.  We liked this option because if necessary, we could split up without leaving one parent with both kiddos and they much easier to collapse for boat or bus transportation!  But, seeing that you have a six-year old and a two-year old, you may want to think about whether or not your six-year old will want to ride or walk most of the time.  My six-year old would prefer to walk for as long as his little legs will last, and in that case, I would rather not be pushing around an empty stroller throughout the day!  So, if you think this may be the case you may want to consider a double stroller.  But, if your six-year old is more likely to want to be pushed through the theme parks (or if you prefer it that way), then you could certainly have two!  Often two strollers are easier to navigate than a larger and bulkier double stroller, but again it's all up to your preference and whether or not two adults want to be pushing a stroller all day.  Walt Disney World Resort’s park rules state that strollers must be smaller than 31 inches wide and 52 inches long, so you will also want to consider those size restrictions when making your decision!

Even now that my boys are older, I still like to glance through the Preschool Planning Guide to make sure I am making the most of my vacation with little ones!  I always find helpful hints and information that will make my visit easier on us all!

As you continue planning for your vacation to “The Most Magical Place on Earth”, please come back with any other questions you may have!
