how do I down load the Disney app to my iPhone?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Robert!

You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. I'm so glad you stopped by today with a question about the My Disney Experience mobile app –– you'll be able to use it in so many cool ways during your upcoming visit and I think it's one of the most important tools you have at your disposal to help you plan and navigate a Walt Disney World vacation.  Since it looks like you'll be arriving in just a few days (seriously, how exciting is that?!), there's no time like to present to download your app and start discovering everything it has to offer.

To begin installing the My Disney Experience app on your iPhone, open up the App Store and tap the "Search" icon (under the magnifying glass) in the bottom-right corner. Next, you'll want to type "My Disney Experience" in the search bar and hit the blue "Search" button. Once you see "My Disney Experience" pop up, tap "Get" to begin downloading the app. And that's it!  Once the download has been completed, the My Disney Experience app will be ready for you to sign in with your Disney Account credentials and start unlocking all the magic that's coming your way.

Once your app is up and running, there are tons of ways to use it before and during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.  If you'll be staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you'll be able to complete your online check-in in the app by tapping on "Resort Hotel" in the main menu –– once you arrive at your Resort, you'll be able to bypass the front desk and head straight to your room once it's ready and you can even use the app to unlock your room door.  You'll also be able to view your room number, keep track of charges, check out the Resort's amenities, and access the Resort map throughout your stay.

You can even create a Disney MagicMobile pass to use during your visit –– this virtual pass will be saved in your device's digital wallet and can be used for theme park admission, just like a MagicBand or Key to the World Card.  And after arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth, you'll also be able to use the app to make Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane selections, enter the virtual queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, place a mobile dining order, and so much more.  With all of these features right at your fingertips, it's just like having a personalized vacation GPS system to guide you through the ins and outs of your Walt Disney World Resort visit.

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney, Robert.  I hope your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World is filled with pixie dust from start to finish!

    See Ya Real Soon,
    Amy
