When do the take down Halloween decorations and put up Christmas decorations? We are thinking of going this fall 2018 but really want to be able to see that changes as our pictures are always Halloween. Thank you.

Hi Sue! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Oh, the holidays at Walt Disney World Resort are such a gorgeous sight to be seen that every Disney lover needs to take in at least once. (And then every year after that.)

While there are no official dates of when things go up and come down, traditionally all parks, resort hotels and even Disney Spring look their merry best around mid-November. However, Disney's Hollywood Studios transforms magically overnight on October 31st. It really is remarkable to leave surrounded by pumpkins and cornucopias, then wake up on November 1st to see Gertie the Dinosaur wearing a giant Santa hat. The other spaces start to look festive over the first two weeks of November, and usually the last tree is topped mid-month.

If you want to take in all the sights (and smells!) of the winter holidays, including the world renowned massive gingerbread art installations at the various Resort Hotels, I would plan your visit no earlier than mid- November if you can. And don't forget about seeing snow on Main Street U.S.A. at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!

Oh I do hope that you can spend some of the most wonderful time of the year at the Most Magical Place On Earth, Sue! Thank you for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and we'll see you real soon!
