Hi there, Andrea!
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by to discuss your
Annual Pass. Being part of the passholder family is the best. From discounts on
dining, merchandise, and
resort stays to picking up adorable magnets each time I'm in
EPCOT, my pass is always there to offer a bit of magic.
Yo ho, yo ho! To make it a
pirate's life for you, you must wait until your Disney Sorcerer Pass expires before purchasing a new Disney Pirate Pass. While you can upgrade your pass midyear, you cannot downgrade to a lower-tier pass. In a similar situation, I needed the Disney Incredi-Pass for one year, but a Disney Sorcerer Pass the following. I let the Disney Incredi-Pass expire, and before my next trip, I purchased a Disney Sorcerer Pass. I could not take advantage of a renewal discount since this is only available to Guests continuing with their current pass or upgrading to a higher tier.
I hope this is helpful, Andrea, and that you enjoy the remaining months with your Disney Sorcerer Pass. Suppose you purchase a Disney Pirate Pass and often wish you could visit on a day when your pass is blocked out. In that case, you can easily upgrade to a Disney Sorcerer Pass or purchase regular day tickets directly on the
My Disney Experience mobile app. My parents have the Disney Pixie Dust Pass, which works well for them as they are retired and their schedule allows weekday trips. My mom wanted to join my family on a weekend visit when her pass was blocked out. She found that the cost of purchasing a 3-Day
Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket was less than upgrading her pass, so it's always a good idea to do some math to see what works for you.
Thanks again for sending your question to us, Andrea. Best wishes for another magical year in the passholder family, and please reach out if there's anything else we can do to make your enchanting escapes even more memorable.
Have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
Betsy
