    When do they take down Christmas decor at WDW?

    Hi Stephanie,

    I'm always a little sad when the holiday decorations start disappearing around Walt Disney World. They make the parks and resorts even more magical for several weeks each year!

    Installation of holiday finery starts right after Halloween and is complete by around Thanksgiving. It stays in place all through the holidays and into January. Last year, my family visited during Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, the first weekend in January. We were able to enjoy all the Christmas extras, including the icicle-covered Cinderella Castle lighted nightly, the Starbright Holidays drone show at Disney Springs and the holiday marketplaces with seasonal treats at Epcot.

    Because Marathon Weekend goes through January 7, 2018, I would expect to find a similar situation this year. Since you are arriving a couple of days later, you should be able to see a number of the decorations still in place.
