Hello Richard,
Thanks for stopping in to see us at planDisney, where we always welcome an opportunity to help you plan your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort by sharing our own Disney destination vacation experiences.
Two of the most important steps you'll want to check off your list when you plan to visit the Walt Disney World Resort are purchasing your theme park tickets and making your theme park reservations. I'm happy to offer a few tips to help you, and you can always reach out to the Walt Disney World Resort ticket services team at (407)-934-7639 for additional help. You can also
use the chat service online to chat with a Cast Member for assistance.
It's always a good idea to begin by checking the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar before booking your trip or purchasing your tickets. The calendar will show you which theme parks have reservations available to select for the days you'd like to visit.
You can
purchase your theme park tickets online. First, you'll want to select the number of days you want to visit the theme parks. Next, you'll want to select your ticket type. If you plan to visit just one theme park in a day, you could select the "1 Park Per Day" ticket type. If you plan to visit more than one theme park in a day, you could select "Park Hopper Option." You'll also see ticket type options that add water park options and additional sports-related fun activities like miniature golf.
Next, you'll select the first day you plan to visit the theme parks. Your tickets will be valid from a certain number of days from that first date.
Next, you'll select the number of tickets you'll need for those in your party ages 10+ and ages 3-9.
Next, you can customize your tickets. You could add Memory Maker to get digital downloads of your PhotoPass photos. You could also add
Disney Genie+ Service to your tickets, which would let you book return times to visit select theme park attractions. In addition to attractions available through Disney Genie+, each theme park currently offers attractions with
Individual Lightning Lane Entrances for purchase. It's helpful to know that the FastPass+ service that allowed you to select attraction return times in advance of your visit has been retired.
After you have purchased your theme park tickets, you can use the
Disney Park Pass system to make your theme park reservations. The Disney Park Pass system will guide you through the steps to select who will be going to the theme park, the date you'll be going, and the theme park you'll be visiting. If you're using the Park Hopper Option, you currently only need to make a reservation for the first theme park you plan to visit in a day, and then you could visit other theme parks when Park Hopper Hours begin at 2 p.m. (depending on the capacity of the theme park you plan to visit).
With your theme park tickets and your theme park reservations, you'll be set to enjoy the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.
Richard, here's wishing you a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Jerry
