    Hi Doug: Airline changed flight & now we arrive @ 5:30 on 11/27. Have 1st res at Chef Mickey since 2003 at 8:15 that night. Staying at CBR. Should we take a taxi or take our chances with the ME? Did not want to miss res since I scored it! Thanks.

    OK, so let's do the quick time math.

    You arrive at 5:30 pm. Time getting off the plane, getting to the Magical Express, etc., and I am putting you at your resort by around 7 pm or maybe 7:30 pm if a lot goes wrong. You should get there a bit faster than that, but let's go with the conservative long times, to be safe.

    Assuming you check in and turn right around to head off to Chef Mickey's, you should still be OK. But what I would suggest you do is this;

    • Don't worry about the cab idea from the Airport to the hotel, but consider taking a cab from your hotel to the Contemporary if you think you are going to be cutting it close. That is a much lower cost, and you will have a good idea if it is really needed.
    • Take the bus from your hotel to the Magic Kingdom, then walk over to the Contemporary. That will be much faster than the officially recommended route of going by bus to Downtown Disney, then transferring to a bus headed to the Contemporary.
    • If you don't get a bus to the Magic Kingdom by 7:45 pm, then leave the resort bus depot and grab a cab.
    BOTTOM LINE: Use Magical Express as usual, and only cab to Chef Mickey's if you can't get a bus from the Caribbean Beach resort by 7:45 pm.

    I hope that this helps?

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
