Hi, I have a doubt about lighting lane. If the park opens at 9am, and I book my first lightning lane for 9:20am, will I be able to book another lighting lane as soon as I use it? Or will I have to wait until 11 am (two hours after park opening)?

Welcome to planDisney, Andrea! You and I must have a lot in common because I'm also planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort right around the same time as you this fall. I'm looking forward to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and, of course, the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, so I hope you've planned some time during your vacation to enjoy both of those events as well!

Disney Genie+ service is one of my favorite tech tools to help me save time when I'm at Walt Disney World Resort. I definitely know that it can seem a little bit complicated when you're sitting at home thinking about how you're going to use it, but I promise that once you get to the Theme Parks and into the swing of things, it's much easier than it looks right now. To answer your question right away: if you have a Lightning Lane booked, you can book your next one as soon as you use the one you're holding or two hours after you booked it, whichever comes first.

Let's look at an example! If you're visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom and booked a 9:20 a.m. Lightning Lane for Na'vi River Journey when the booking window opened at 7:00 a.m., you can make your next Lightning Lane selection once you have ridden Na'vi River Journey. The two-hour window only comes into play if you have booked a Lightning Lane a bit later in the day. Let's say, on your day at Disney's Animal Kingdom, you booked a 1:00 p.m. Lightning Lane for Kilimanjaro Safaris when the booking window opened at 7:00 a.m., you would then be able to make your second selection at 10:00 a.m., which is two hours after the Theme Park opens, and another one two hours after that at noon. Depending on what times you've booked your Lightning Lanes for, it is possible to be holding more than one or two at the same time! The Genie Tip Board in the My Disney Experience app will always show you what time you can book your next Lightning Lane, so you don't have to keep track of it yourself.

I hope this answers your question, Andrea, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
