    Hi, is the Doubloon Pool at Port Orleans now open? I've just seen a posting on Instagram saying that it is. Thanks

    Hello, Paula. Welcome to planDisney! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just days away, lucky you!

    Before you leave home, pack your bathing suit, sunscreen, and floaties, as I am happy to inform you that the recent refurbishments at Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter pool, Doubloon Lagoon, are now complete and ready for Guests! It looks like you picked the perfect time to visit and stay in one of my favorite Disney Resorts Collection hotels, too, as the resort is now gearing up for a Guest Room update beginning in May 2024 and lasting through November 2024 (dates subject to change without notice of course). That’s what I love about vacationing with Disney, they are constantly working to update hotels, attractions, and experiences to make Guests vacations even more magical. 

    Paula, if you haven’t stayed at Port Orleans – French Quarter yet, you will fall in love with the smell and taste of the Mickey-shaped beignets at Scat Cat’s Club – Café. Even better, you can enjoy a beautiful walk along the water to Port Orleans – Riverside to visit Muddy Rivers for a delicious Frosé or Piña Colada!
