Can double strollers roll on the Skyliner gondolas? I read that strollers must fit within 30"x48". At 29.5" wide the City Mini GT double should fit. However, I've heard conflicting info & some say they were told to fold theirs.

    Hi April!

Thanks for your question. The Disney Skyliner provides another mode of transportation that makes getting around select Disney properties so much easier! I can share some first-hand experience as someone who recently rode on the Disney Skyliner in the last week:

Unless you break the double stroller down and slide it in sideways (i.e. parallel with the seating inside the Skyliner), you will find it very difficult to just roll a double stroller in the gondola with your kids inside. It provides great space without strollers, decent space with a single stroller, but the double strollers of just about any variety will present a number of challenges getting inside if not broken down.

The benefits I could find using the Skyliner are the following:

*The fleet of Skyliners are generally in constant motion. Even in long on-boarding wait lines, you can get on a Skyliner fairly quickly. Recently, myself and a few fellow panelists took the Skyliner from Disney's Hollywood Studios to final destination Epcot. We were at nearly the back of the line, and made it up an on a Skyliner in less than 10 minutes.

*I was pleasantly surprised by the speed of the Skyliner. They move much quicker than you would think, and certainly quicker than the ski lifts one would find at typical ski resorts around the world.

*If I were traveling to and from Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot, I would now look to use the Skyliner above other transportation options, such as Disney Bus Transportation.

Hope this sheds light on the Skyliner. Have a Soarin' Day! :-)
