Are the double strollers rent at Disney very heavy?

Hey there, Fernanda, and welcome to planDisney! One of the most comforting aspects of my time in the Theme Parks is just how many strollers I see darting from here to there. More strollers represent more smiles on little Mouseketeers’ faces, and that’s really what we all are there for! But the most important part (at least for my family) is that it keeps our littles safe and secure as we trek throughout the parks. Letting these toddlers loose in Walt Disney World would be madness! Now that I think about it, it would be pretty fun to watch though.

Stroller rentals are available in each Theme Park for your daily use, Fernanda. In my experience, Disney’s stroller rentals are no heavier than any other strollers I have used throughout the parks - including the double stroller rentals. The weight difference usually relates to the child being pushed. For example, it’s usually much easier to push a two-year-old in a stroller than a six-year-old. Same stroller, just different package weight. My wife and I have never had difficulty maneuvering the strollers through the Theme Parks. So I don’t think you will have any issues.

Since stroller rentals are only available on a daily basis, you are required to return the stroller as you exit the Theme Parks. If you are planning to park hop, no worries! Your stroller rental is good for the entire day. You would simply return the stroller as you exit your first park and pick up a new stroller at any subsequent parks that day at no extra cost. If you will need to use your stroller outside of the Theme Parks, you can consider using Disney’s Featured Provider, Scooterbug. My wife and I have rented from Scooterbug before, and the process was extremely simple for picking up and returning the stroller. We kept our stroller for the entire week and had a positive experience! You can find the Scooterbug information at the stroller rental link above.

I hope this helps, Fernanda! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation, stop back by and let me know. I’m here to help!
