    Are double layer neck gaitors allowed in the parks

    Hi there, Cody! Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you’ve stopped by with your question before your upcoming trip! As you are probably aware, Walt Disney World has implemented enhanced safety measures to ensure the safety of all Guests and Cast Members! These are outlined on the experience updates pages and include new protocols on enhanced cleaning practices, social distancing, and face coverings, among other topics.

    At this time, the face-covering guidelines are as follows;
    All coverings must be made with at least two layers of breathable material, fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin, fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face, and be secured with ties or ear loops and allow Guests to remain hands-free. The policy explicitly states that at this time, based on guidance from health authorities, neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas, and face coverings containing valves, mesh material, or holes of any kind are not acceptable face coverings.

    Never fear, Cody, though you may decide to leave your neck gaiters at home, check out shopDisney for some unique masks that you can purchase before (or during!) your trip to add a sprinkle of Disney magic to your visit! If you fear you may be cutting close on time, I would recommend that you stop by World of Disney at Disney Springs for some mask shopping while on the property! This spectacular shop is sure to have all the flair you could need for your time in the Parks and beyond! I hope you have a fantastic vacation, and please do not hesitate to come see us again anytime we can be of help in the future!

    See ya real soon!
