    Are the doors at the Saratoga villas metal? Taking granddaughter for her graduation and would like to adhere a 2025 grad magnet to door.

    Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your decorating question. Hot diggity dog! Congratulations to your granddaughter on such an incredible accomplishment—what a practically perfect way to celebrate at Walt Disney World! 

    Now, let’s dive right into your question! While the doors at Saratoga Springs aren’t magnetic (so those cute magnets won’t stick), I did chat with a friendly Cast Member, and they shared that decorating doors isn’t permitted to help keep the resort looking magical for everyone. But don’t fret; you can still add a little extra sparkle by decorating the resort windows with plastic suction cups, banners, and window clings—and guess what? This works wonderfully on the sliding glass doors at Saratoga Springs!

    Let’s talk about even more ways to make this celebration extra magical. Here are some additional tips I recommend to continue the celebration:

    • Pick up a Celebration Button at the Front Desk so everyone can join in the fun and celebrate your granddaughter’s graduation throughout the parks!
    • Head over to Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom, where you can personalize buttons, ornaments, and even Disney ears—a perfect keepsake for this joyous occasion.
    • Surprise her with an in-room celebration! Disney Floral & Gifts can deliver flowers, balloons, or special gifts straight to your room. 
    • Order a celebration cake! You can add a Mickey-shaped cake to a dining reservation online or through the My Disney Experience app. If you decide at the last minute, you can also request a same-day cake in person at participating restaurants, but remember that these are subject to availability.
    • Purchase Memory Maker to capture all of those photos taken by Disney Photopass photographers.
