Hi Donyell! I am an NC native! My family & I are taking our daughter (will be18 months) on her first trip next April. What character dining/fastpasses do you suggest? Also, is early morning reservations before park opens worth the hype? Thank you!

    Hi Katie!

I am always delighted to greet a former North Carolinian! Planning this first trip for your princess will be AMAZING!

At 18 months old, she may be a tad wary of the characters, but rest assured that they are pros at greeting little ones! On our first trip with our girls, they loved Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare. The prince was so, well, what can I say, Charming! On that first trip, we did not do Cinderella's Royal Table. We were on a budget and had the Disney Dining Plan, so we opted for Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. The girls got a chance to greet several of their favorite princesses and they were in awe the entire time. Since that first visit, we have also come to adore The Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's and Cinderella's Royal Table. We also must do dinner without characters at 'Ohana and Coral Reef Restaurant. Dining within view of a breathtaking coral reef is simply stunning.

As for those early morning breakfast reservations? My family always does a few pre-park opening breakfast reservations so that we can enter the park before the crowds. We cherish being able to walk through an almost empty park on our way to the restaurant. The pictures we take along the way are just priceless. Just be sure to check the park hours for the dates of your visit. We make our pre-park opening dining reservations on days when the parks do not have early morning Extra Magic Hours.

Katie, a few of the Fast Pass+ selections I recommend are Peter Pan's Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, "it's a small world," Frozen Ever After, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, and Kilimanjaro Safaris. I trust that your princess will ride like royalty!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
