Hello, Cassie!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are delighted to answer your question regarding your upcoming
Walt Disney World vacation!
I totally understand your predicament! My family Disney vacation is in May, and I am trying desperately to make reservations for seven at
'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
I have a two-part strategy in booking a very difficult
Disney Dining Reservation like
Be Our Guest Restaurant. My first line of defense is to call (407) WDW-DINE and speak to a very helpful Cast Member for availability every few days leading up to my vacation. Since I have a large family, I will also ask if there is availability to split my family of seven into two reservations to accommodate us all.
As you get closer to your vacation, your first response is to panic since you have not booked your Be Our Guest reservation. However, I don't panic because my second strategy is to call every day when I reach the two-week mark of my vacation. Guests have 24-hours to cancel their reservation without penalty. Invariably, there will be guests who cannot make their reservation for any number of reasons. This is where your persistence CAN pay off to snag a cancelled reservation. This worked for me just two weeks ago when I was able to book a VERY last minute reservation to Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue! This dining show was booked solid for MONTHS, but I called the day before I wanted to go, and there was a cancellation! WOO HOO!
If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
Have a TIGGER-ific day!
