Hi Melissa,
Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
"QSR" simply stands for Quick Service Restaurant and describes a counter-service restaurant where you place your order, pay for your order, and seat yourself in the seating area. You can take a look at
a complete list of Walt Disney World Quick Service Restaurants online. Many serve full meals, while others primarily serve specialty snacks. Several Quick Service Restaurants also offer the added benefit of
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering, and that is a great convenience.
Quick Service Restaurants typically don't require reservations, while reservations are recommended for Table Service Restaurants. For example, take a look at two restaurants at Magic Kingdom in Liberty Square —
Liberty Tree Tavern and
Columbia Harbour House. Liberty Tree Tavern is a Table Service Restaurant, and you'll see you can check availability and make a reservation. Columbia Harbour House is a Quick Service Restaurant, and you won't see a feature to check availability or make a reservation as none is needed. One restaurant that operates a bit differently due to its great popularity is Be Our Guest Restaurant, which is a Quick Service restaurant that accepts reservations.
What I love about dining at Walt Disney World is that there are so many choices for great food experiences — over 500 food and beverage locations, including over 300 Quick Service locations. I'm certain you'll find one that'll become a favorite.
Enjoy your Disney!
Jerry
