Welcome to planDisney, Darlene!
I'm really glad you stopped by with your question. This is certainly the year to visit Walt Disney World Resort. The
50th Anniversary Celebration is well underway and there's so much to see and experience. On my most recent trip, I was able to ride
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Seriously, it was the most enjoyable ride I can remember going on. I screamed, laughed, and danced every time. Don't miss it! I also had the pleasure of watching
Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney. This was my second time watching it and I was in awe from start to finish. If you're looking to sprinkle some extra pixie dust on your trip, I can't recommend it highly enough.
Having the
Park Hopper Option on your ticket is a great way to maximize the magic, Darlene. I really love going to multiple parks in one day. At the moment, you are only required to make a theme park reservation for the first park you visit. After 2:00 PM, you're welcome to hop to a second theme park of your choice. Darlene, I'm afraid that you do have to scan your ticket at the theme park that you make your reservation for before you enter another park.
I was in a similar situation when I visited last month. One day, I had a reservation for Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. However, I wanted to go to Magic Kingdom Park instead (which had reached its capacity for that day and so was no longer accepting reservations). Even though it was around 2:00 PM and I had the Park Hopper Option on my ticket, I still had to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom
before I could enter Magic Kingdom. Even though it was a little inconvenient, I made the most of it and had a fantastic afternoon (visiting both parks).
I hope that's clarifying, Darlene. Thanks for stopping by planDisney. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
See ya real soon!
