If I don't purchase the tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash and I make a reservation for DCA on the day the Oogie Boogie Bash is then I have to leave the park at 6 PM? I don't have park hopper passes, does that mean I lose out on 4 hours of park time?

    Hi Amy!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney. We're so happy that you're hEAR!

I love the frightful fun of Disneyland Resort during Halloween time. Certain attractions receive delightful makeovers to get in on the seasonal fun. Our favorite clubhouse pals don their best trick-or-treat costumes. And my favorite of all is all of the creepy, crawly creative snacks the Disney dining team dreams up into reality.

Yes, at certain points during the yEAR, either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Theme Park will host special events, that range from graduation parties to all things Star Wars. During the fall and wintertime, certain nights host Halloween or Holiday parties and late-night events that sadly do impact the closing time for the day guests of that park. It sounds like you've already checked the calendars and have figured out a scheduling conflict between your desired Disney days and the beloved Oogie Boogie Bash. Your best option might be to either try to change your park dates around a bit, or to add the Park Hopper option to your Theme Park Admission Tickets. If you already have your theme park tickets, you might need to call to add the park hoppers on. The Disneyland Ticket helpline phone number is (714) 781-4636.

I will say that in my experience other guests have the same thought like you, Amy, and tend to stay away from a park that is hosting an event that day. It's a sad thought, but it kind of alleviates crowds for the day making wait times seem shorter and ultimately you're able to do just as much, if not more, than you would on a non-party day. But, if you're like my dad who has FOMO (fear of missing out) about all the things, I say you should get tickets to the bash and Halloween party it up! Some people love that rare characters make appearances. Kids love the pounds of candy they walk away with. But my favorite is that this is the one night when adults can wear costumes!

I hope that this helped to clEAR your question up, Amy, as well as provide some insight as to what else you could do for that night.
