Hi there, Linda! That’s a good question. I’m guessing you are familiar with the previous way tickets were purchased online. Well, times have changed, haven’t they? The new ticket purchase system has a different look and style. When I first saw the current ticket purchase system in the Disneyland mobile app and on the Disneyland Resort website, it took me some time to get used to it. While it still sometimes throws me off, I like the way the ticket purchase system takes me through the choices to be made in simple steps:
Bonus Step: After you select your starting theme park for each day of your visit, you will have the opportunity to add the Disney Genie+ service to your tickets. If you choose, you may wait until you arrive inside the park each day to decide whether you will purchase the Genie+ service. Though, the lowest-price option will be to purchase Genie+ in advance at the same time as your ticket purchase.Tony’s Tip: Some parties may have some members of their group who will park hop and other members who may not. Other parties may choose to purchase the Genie+ service for only some of the tickets. In other cases, members of a party may be visiting for a different number of days. It may be possible to add more ticket types to your cart on the website to accommodate such a mix of tickets. But to keep it simple, I recommend making purchases of different ticket types and durations in separate transactions. They will all still be linked to the purchasing account. And it is OK if different groups of tickets are tied to different park reservations.I hope you have a great time at the Disneyland Resort, Linda. Please stop by planDisney again if you have any more questions.~Tony
