Ahoy there, Jeffery! I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney where we love the sea just as much as King Triton!
As a Disney Cruise Line aficionado, I believe everyone should try sailing with Captain Mickey (or Minnie)! From the amazing dining options in all five ships to the Broadway-caliber shows, from activities for every age to secluded spaces built just for adults, there is so much to love!
Jeffery, as of today, there are a few itineraries that don't require a passport, however, before I jump into some options, let me give you a few disclaimers. If you have the opportunity at some point, I do recommend applying for a Passport as there are
benefits to holding one, even when it's not necessary. Second, while currently there are itineraries that don't require a Passport, please make sure to double-check the necessary documentation immediately before you book.
Now, let's talk about what Disney Cruise Line sailings might be right for you! First, I'll encourage you to visit the
Passport and Travel Documentation page of the Disney Cruise Line website. If you hover over the words, "Already Booked," you can expand the selection. Scroll down until you see the bold heading, "Before You Go." Listed there, click on "Travel Documentation." This page will show all documents required for every sailing and itinerary.
A few that you should check out include cruises that sail
from New York to Canada or
Bermuda and those that sail from Florida to
the Bahamas. Currently, cruises that begin AND end in the United States allow passengers to submit the Original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate AND a physical Government-issued photo ID in lieu of a Passport.
Jeffery, I hope this helps as you continue planning your first Disney Cruise. Whether you sail on the
Disney Magic,
Disney Wonder,
Disney Fantasy,
Disney Dream, or the newest ship in the fleet,
the Disney Wish, I know you'll have an unforgettable voyage.
Please come on back with any other questions,
Lauren
