Hi Suzanne! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question!
I'm excited about your upcoming visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort! I'm sure you have already dove headfirst into planning your summer Disney getaway. You're just a couple of weeks away from booking any
Advanced Dining Reservations to your favorite Walt Disney World restaurants. I would recommend deciding on your choices before the day of so you are ready to go when the booking window opens.
Since the phased reopening,
park reservations are now a requirement to enter any of the four theme parks each day. In order to take advantage of the park hopping feature at 2 PM, you must check in to the park you have a reservation for beforehand. So if you cancel your reservation, you will be unable to visit any of the parks that day. If your plan is to head to a park later in the day, then just make your reservation for whichever park you plan to visit. There is no specific time you need to enter the park that you have a reservation for being that you can enter at any time of the day.
Some of my favorite Walt Disney World memories are when we take a leisurely approach to the day. We're all conditioned to get up early and head straight to the parks, but sometimes it is nice to sleep in and take advantage of the dining, recreation, and amenities at your resort. There are also many other options to fill up your day without heading directly to the parks. You can play a round of golf, go horseback riding, head out on the water to fish, or plan a guided tour for many different experiences. And don't forget about the water parks! Currently,
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is open and does not require a park reservation to visit. Since you are visiting during the middle of the summer, spending a day here may be the perfect break to get out of the heat!
Suzanne, with so many options to choose from at Walt Disney World, you are going to have an amazing trip ahead of you! If you need help with any other planning questions, please
find me again at planDisney! I would be happy to help in any way I can!
See ya real soon!
