Welcome to planDisney, Cathy!
Your family is only a couple of months away from your vacation. Woohoo! I just know that you’re counting down the days until you can introduce your little one to lovable Disney characters, walk down Main Street, U.S.A. together, and possibly give her a first taste of DOLE Whip.
With the new
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, like the current system, you will not need to purchase a Multi Pass for your granddaughter because she is under 3 years old. The Lightning Lane Multi Pass experiences will be linked to a theme park ticket or annual pass, which your tiny Mouseketeer doesn’t need. She also doesn’t need admission to other activities, such as
Disney After Hours and on-property mini golf.
AN EXTRA GEM: For rides that she doesn’t want to ride or can’t ride (due to its
height requirement), I recommend setting up a complimentary
Rider Switch with a Cast Member at the front of an attraction’s entrance. She can be watched by someone while the first group rides, then the person who waited (an additional party member) can then go straight through the Lightning Lane queue to get on and off as soon as possible.
There are a couple of times that come to mind for when she needs to be included in a party count. For one, include her when making an
advance dining reservation, although she may not be charged (in the case of All-You-Care-To-Enjoy meals like Garden Grill Restaurant). This is helpful to the Cast Members to properly prepare your group’s table. Also, if you plan on going on a
Fireworks Cruise, all members are accounted for when filling a boat of 10 people.
Cathy, please
revisit us here at planDisney if you have any other questions about your upcoming adventure. My friends and I are more than happy to share our tips and tricks with you!
Magic always,
LeAndra
