Hi Jennifer! Welcome back to planDisney! It’s been a while since you last visited us! It sounds like Moana is a “must-meet” character during your upcoming visit!
As our wayfinder friend, Moana, can be a bit of an adventurer, finding her can be a bit of an adventure for Guests! I’m happy to offer some “navigation” on how to find her! Moana can typically be found in several Disney Parks!
Let’s start at Magic Kingdom Park! Here, Moana is frequently found participating in the
Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade. Sometimes, she can be found perched high above the crowd, riding on one of the cavalcade floats. Other times she can be found walking and dancing along the cavalcade route where some closer photos can be captured. It’s important to note that this isn’t a “meet and greet” opportunity, but the cavalcade is a great way to see Moana!
Moana’s adventures also take her between EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. When visiting these not-so-distant lands, Moana is available for “meet and greet” opportunities with Guests. At EPCOT, she can be found just outside the new
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana attraction! When Moana’s boat carries her to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, she can be found at Character Landing on Discovery Island!
For the time being, it appears that Moana will be spending a significant amount of time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The “
Meet Moana” page on the Walt Disney World Resort website lists Moana as greeting Guests during the entire month of April and well into May. It is important to note that character appearances are subject to change.
