If I don’t use a magic band or have park passes on my apple wallet how do I enter the parks ? Would I get a credit card sty,e ticket ?

Hey there, Bridie. Thanks for stopping by planDisney and for sending in your question.

Getting into the theme parks and accessing all the great features of your Walt Disney World vacation couldn’t be easier, thanks to some convenient options: MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile, and the Key to the World card. Each one allows you to enter the parks, link Disney PhotoPass photos, and redeem Lightning Lane selections. Let me walk you through what each can do.

The Disney Band (MagicBand+) is worn on your wrist and connects directly to your My Disney Experience account. It lets you tap into the parks, unlock your Disney Resorts Collection hotel room door, charge food and merchandise purchases back to your resort room, and even interact with certain attractions, nighttime spectaculars, and the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection statues throughout the parks.

The Disney MagicMobile service works through your smartphone and allows you to access your tickets digitally. Once you set it up through the My Disney Experience app, your theme park tickets can be added to your Apple Wallet. If you’re using an iPhone or Apple Watch, you can simply tap in at any Mickey touch point without needing to open the app.

If you’d rather skip both the MagicBand+ and MagicMobile, Hakuna Matata, you can get a Key to the World card. These are physical cards similar to a credit card and can be picked up at the front desk of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel or at any Guest Relations or ticket window located near the entrance of each theme park. Each card features a different Disney character and works just like a MagicBand when it comes to entering the parks, using Lightning Lane entrances, or accessing your resort room. Plus, they make for a great keepsake from your trip.

And Bridie, while you mentioned you aren’t planning on using a MagicBand+, if you happen to spot one that matches your favorite character, attraction, or outfit, you might just change your mind. If you do, check out Pin Traders at Disney Springs for one of the best selections on property. Their EPCOT location, Pin Traders – Camera Center, also has a great variety, as do most resort gift shops and ride exit stores.

I hope this helps clear things up for you, Bridie. If you have any more questions as you get ready for your trip, send them my way. I’d be glad to help you make sure everything is all set for your time at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
