Welcome to planDisney, friend. I am so glad you stopped by with this important planning question.
I know how exciting it is to spot a special ticket offer and hope it fits your plans. For the California Resident ticket,
Disneyland Resort requires a valid government issued California photo ID with an eligible ZIP code between 90000 and 96199 as proof of residency. This is typically a California driver license or a California state ID card. Unfortunately, a non U.S. passport, even if you currently live in California, is not accepted as proof for the California Resident offer.
That said, there is still so much Disney magic waiting for you. If your visit is coming up this month, January is actually one of my favorite times to be at the Disneyland Resort. The cooler temperatures make it easy to enjoy long park days without feeling rushed, attraction lines can be a bit more manageable, and there is a cozy, laid back feel to the parks that makes wandering, people watching, and soaking in the details especially enjoyable.
Over in
Disney California Adventure, the start of
Lunar New Year, on January 23, brings vibrant décor, festive entertainment, and delicious limited time food offerings inspired by Asian cultures, adding an extra layer of celebration to your visit.
While it sounds like the California Resident ticket does not work for you, standard one day, multi-day and Park Hopper
ticket options are a great way to enjoy everything the parks have to offer. No matter which ticket you choose, that first step onto Main Street, U.S.A., with Cast Members welcoming you in, feels just as magical.
I hope this helps as you plan your visit, friend. No matter the ticket type, the memories you make will be pure Disney magic. Stop by and see us if you have any additional questions, we’re always here and happy to help!
