Dont know where to start we are nearing our 180days for the dining planning and I dont know where to begin, we are staying in Port Orleans in May and Ill be there with my 4 boys twins age 9 and a 4 and 1 year old any tips would be really helpfully.

    Hi Joanne!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

The first step is knowing when you are going, where you are staying, and how long you are staying so you are well on your way!

I then suggest making a plan for what theme park you will probably be in on which day. That will help you to plan for any Table Service restaurants you might want to visit. Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) are critical to get into the most popular restaurants at Walt Disney World and can be made up to 180 days in advance. Don't worry if your plans are not set yet; I suggest making some and then changing them later if necessary.

To help you plan, I suggest picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal. It is a wonderful book for first time visitors as it has a lot of information, but is not overwhelming. It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs. It will give you a good feel of everything there is to do at Walt Disney World.

Our responses are limited in length, but I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions. You can send them to me directly or to the panel in general!
