Hello Jessica!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You are in for a fun treat taking your 9-month-old to Walt Disney World. Nothing like getting children used to traveling at a young age, I always say!
Babies can absolutely enjoy attractions at Walt Disney World theme parks on
this list of “any height” rides. On rides with a lap bar like
Peter Pan's Flight or
Haunted Mansion, they will be able to sit comfortably on your lap, and you will know they are totally secure in your arms. Rest assured that if you have any questions about riding with your baby, Cast Members in the queue will gladly answer them.
My absolute favorite attractions with wee ones would have to be
Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s Flight, and
“it’s a small world.” And my all-time best memory was riding
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh with my son just shy of his first birthday. This one takes the cake because he kicked and giggled throughout the entire ride in our honey pot, and I’m convinced that he recognized his favorite characters, Tigger and Pooh.
I would tend to choose the attractions that are well lit rather than dark when my two were little. Then again, if you want to ride
Pirates of the Caribbean with your baby in tow, you sure can!
Baby Care Centers are essential for having a successful theme park visit. They make an excellent diaper change location, feeding spot, or a great space for some down time.
Another great resource is this compilation of
tips for traveling to Walt Disney World with infants. This advice comes from seasoned moms, dads, and family members who have been where you are and navigated the theme parks with their children.
Wishing you a joyful experience as you introduce your little one to the magic of Disney!
