Hi Pierina,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian!
Visiting
Walt Disney World Resort during the Holidays really seems to be the perfect way to add some Disney Magic to a season that is already pretty magical.
I checked the
Park Hours and Schedule for Magic Kingdom Park on Christmas Day and you’re right – there doesn’t seem to be a fireworks show scheduled… yet! Over the past few years, even though Happily Ever After typically doesn’t light up the night sky during the days around Christmas, that’s because a modified version of
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks plays on those nights instead. You can normally only see that show during
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, so it really is a treat for Guests who are visiting during that time of year.
That said, entertainment schedules are always subject to change so it is possible (if somewhat unlikely, in my opinion) that there will be no fireworks that day. I recommend that you keep checking the
Disney Parks Blog – that’s where the Holiday entertainment schedule will be posted first. And, don’t forget, if there are no fireworks scheduled for Christmas Day at Magic Kingdom Park, I’d highly recommend heading over to EPCOT to be one of the first people to see
Luminous The Symphony of Us, which will start on December 5, 2023.
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. Christmas can be a busy day at Walt Disney World Resort, so we’re happy to help you plan the perfect holiday for you and your family!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
