Hi Selina,
Planning your first Disney vacation can be very overwhelming, but don't worry...you've come to the right place.
Good news, you've already taken care of the first step: Deciding when you want to go.
Next, take some time to browse the various accommodations listed
HERE. Choose the Resort that best fits your budget and that has a theme that appeals to your family.
I recommend that you then call 407-W-DISNEY to speak with a Travel Planner regarding reserving a Magic-Your-Way Package. This will include your Park tickets and the Disney Dining Plan. Since it's your first visit, I suggest that you just get Base tickets as opposed to Park Hoppers. There is so much to see and do in each Park, that you won't want to "hop" around. This will save you a bit of money as well.
Upon check in, you'll receive your Disney Dining Plan credits. They will be attached to your "Key to the World Card". This serves as your Park Pass, room key and holds your Dining credits.
I also suggest that you start browsing the various restaurants
HERE and make some reservations at places that appeal to you. You can do this by calling 407-WDW-DINE. I recommend Chef Mickey's for sure and am happy to give you other ideas too if you'd like some.
So, start with your lodging and build a Package that includes your Park tickets and Dining. Then, start making your dining reservations.
I'm just a click of your mouse away if you have further quesitons,
Kaylene
