Hiya Julius,
Welcome to
planDisney! It has long been on my bucket list to own property in Florida. I like to tell Prince Charming that I visit Walt Disney World Resort so often that it saves him money in the long run especially when we factor in the theme park tickets that are reserved for Guests with Florida residency!
Now, let’s chat a little about proof of
Florida Residency. While a valid Florida driver’s license or state-issued ID is the easiest way to prove Florida Residency for theme park tickets, annual passes, and
special offers. You can also provide a mortgage statement for your home dated within the past two months, a homeowner’s insurance policy, automobile registration, utility bill (power, phone, cable, or water), and other mail from financial or governmental agencies. One of these must show your valid address, and you must accompany this with a corresponding picture ID such as a passport, driver’s license, or state identification card. Walt Disney World Resort reserves the right to require additional proof of residency, so I recommend bringing as many forms as you can to be on the safe side.
I hope this was helpful, Julius. Before I let you go, I do have two additional notes for you about residency. First, residency is not determined by household; each adult over the age of 18 must be able to provide proof that they reside under the same residential address. Second, I know I mentioned bringing multiple forms of residency with you, which might seem like a lot. The good news is that you don’t have to carry various printed documents with you. You can also bring electronic copies and show them on your phone or tablet. Just make sure that they are dated within two months.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
