I don't drink alcohol, but like AF beverages other than soft drinks/water. There are lots of options now. Disney cruises offer AF options in the dinner drink menu. However, I have some specifics I which I would like to bring. How is this managed?

    Ahoy, Vicki!

Thanks for bringing such an insightful question to planDisney, and how exciting it is to have a Disney Cruise Line vacation on the horizon! Would you believe I’m answering this question from onboard the beautiful Disney Magic, sailing somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico right now? It’s true! I’m enjoying a gorgeous evening at sea and happily answering questions from Signals, an adults-exclusive area onboard. I chose this location because they have an outlet for my computer and fresh night air, so I just spoke with our friendly bartender crew in this area about many non-alcoholic options for you.

I understand wanting your own favorites when you travel, and you may certainly bring your own drinks and ingredients onboard. Please review the prohibited items list, and the policy for bringing food onboard. You are welcome to bring anything non-alcoholic that fits in your carry-on bag, which Disney advises be within the dimensions of 14” x 22” x 9” to fit through the security scanners at the port terminal. Be sure that any drink you bring is sealed in its original container and clearly labelled, as alcoholic drinks do have a limit and you want to be certain there is no confusion on embarkation day. Remember you also have to carry this inventory with you around the ship until your stateroom is ready, so please be mindful of the weight and type of bag for your comfort. Every stateroom on every Disney Cruise Line ship has a refrigerator, so once your room is ready you can pop those favorites into the fridge, and they will be ready to consume onboard in no time! You’re not alone in this request, Vicki – please see additional details I recently provided for another Guest wanting to bring a specific alcohol-free beer onboard.

The bartender team at Signals onboard the Disney Magic shared that just as they don’t have a menu of all alcoholic possibilities of cocktails, they don’t have a full non-alcoholic or “mocktail” menu available – just their signature beverages are shown on menus throughout the ship. However, they can make tasty non-alcoholic versions of your favorite tropical vacation drinks or help determine a delicious unique beverage just to your liking. I’ve found the crew members across the entire Disney Cruise Line fleet to be incredibly generous and accommodating in serving Guests so please don’t be shy to ask for some advice and discover a new favorite on vacation!

I hope this helps wet your whistle to enjoy a favorite from home while onboard and perhaps discover something new! Please let us know if you have any additional questions to help make the most of your special cruise.

    Cheers!
