Hi Shelby!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with a great question. As you may be aware, there have been some recent updates specifically related to Disney's
Disability Access Service (DAS). I'm happy to share some additional information that may help answer some of your questions.
Shelby, Walt Disney World Resort offers a wide range of accommodations and services to assist
guests with disabilities during their visit. Since each guest is unique, so is the conversation around which accommodations may best suit their needs. You can find an overview of the various services available in the
Accessibility Planning Guide and Recommendations. This guide covers topics such as accessing attraction queues, service animals, ASL interpretation, wheelchair rentals, and much, much more. There is also a separate guide titled
Sensory Experience Details for Guests with Disabilities which you may find helpful as well. While the live video chat to determine eligibility and register for DAS or offer assistance identifying other appropriate accommodations would not occur until within a 30-day window of your scheduled arrival date, you may find that a
cast member at Disability Services would be able to help answer some general questions for you before booking your trip.
I hope this helps provide additional resources as you consider a future visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! When you're ready to start making plans for your vacation, be sure to check out the
current special offers for the most up-to-date deals, and remember to stop by and see us again with any other vacation planning questions you have - we're all ears!
Cheers,
Kristi
