¡Hola Victoria! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're so glad you've brought your vacation planning question to us, and I'd be happy to assist you today.
When my family and I visit Walt Disney World, enjoying meals together is an important part of our itinerary. There are so many unique and delicious dining experiences available in the theme parks and resorts.
Disney Dining Plans are offered to guests of onsite Disney Resort Hotels as part of a
vacation package that includes theme park tickets and a resort stay. The amount of quick-service and table-service dining credits vary amongst the plans, but all Disney Dining Plans allow you to pay for meals in advance of your vacation. This provides peace of mind for many guests, including myself! I have small children who enjoy character dining, and the
Disney Dining Plan is often a terrific value for us.
Hakuna Matata, Victoria! If you are vacationing without a Disney Dining Plan, you can still take advantage of all of the delightful dishes and treats throughout Walt Disney World. There are no restaurants that are exclusive to guests using a Disney Dining Plan.
You will encounter two main types of dining during your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth:
quick-service and table-service. Quick-service dining can be enjoyed simply by walking up to a counter and ordering your meal to be carried to a nearby table. Pro tip: if you are using the
My Disney Experience app, you can use the
Mobile Food and Beverage Order feature to expedite the quick-service dining experience. Table-service dining involves being seated by a Cast Member and ordering from a menu or visiting a buffet.
Advanced Dining Reservations, which can be made through My Disney Experience, are highly suggested at most table-service restaurants.
I recommend taking some time to
explore the many culinary offerings at the theme parks and resorts to see what experiences your family would enjoy. A meal with our Disney friends is always a must-do for my family, and a few of our favorite "meals with character" are Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, The Crystal Palace, and Cape May Café.
If you prefer to be more spontaneous about your dining plans, quick-service will be your best option. Some of our quick-service favorites are Satu'li Canteen in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Disney's Hollywood Studios, Columbia Harbor House in the Magic Kingdom Park, and Sunshine Seasons in EPCOT.
No matter where you choose to dine on vacation, you are sure to have a delicious time tasting your way around the Walt Disney World Resort. I noticed you will be traveling to us from Puerto Rico - ¡genial! If you have any local friends or family members that would benefit from vacation planning advice en Español, send them our way! There are several
Disney Parks Moms Panelists who also answer questions in Spanish.
Thanks again for stopping by. ¡Buen viaje!
