Hi Lexi,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! One of the best things about living in California (especially Southern California) is the proximity to Disneyland. Just last night, I visited the Downtown Disney District and the hotels to meet up with friends. It’s so nice to have the Disneyland Resort so close by!
As you mentioned, Disney recently announced it will be offering a
3-Day Park Hopper Ticket for California residents! These tickets can be used on non-consecutive days, allowing Guests to plan a visit anytime between January 1 and May 21, 2026. To purchase the tickets through the
Disneyland app or website, your California address must be linked to your MyDisney account.
Additionally, when you first use the 3-Day tickets at the park, a Cast Member will need to verify your address using a valid government-issued photo ID before entry. Accepted IDs include a California driver’s license or California ID. Hopefully, with the length of this promotion, you’ll have plenty of time to update your ID if needed.
When purchasing the tickets, you will be asked to
select your park reservation dates and indicate which park you’d like to start your day in (Disneyland or California Adventure). The Disneyland Resort will be hosting several exciting events during the promotion period, so using the
Calendar of Events can help you plan your visit around these offerings (events and dates are subject to change or cancellation):
Lunar New Year – January 23 through February 22 (California Adventure)
Celebrate Gospel – February 20–21 and February 27–28 (Disneyland)
Food & Wine Festival – March 6 through April 27 (California Adventure)
70th Anniversary Celebration – Now through August 9 (Resort-wide)
I hope this information helps, Lexi! If you have any other questions or need extra planning tips, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always happy to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your Disney planning.
Catch you in the parks!
