Hi there, Rachel. Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for bringing your question to us. I’d be happy to help clarify the proof of residency verification process so you can access the
California Resident 3-day Park Hopper deal!
I love that you’ve got your eye on this awesome deal! It’s a great value, so I completely understand why you’re hoping to gain access to it. Unfortunately, most passports don’t give residency information. A passport will verify your age and your identity, but it doesn’t prove that you’re a resident of California. The details of this offer state that the proof must be a government-issued photo ID that also provides your residency.
Also, each member of your party must be able to provide valid proof of residency at the gate when you first use the ticket. They will have their photo taken, and they are then assigned to that ticket. If they cannot show proof, they will not be allowed to scan in, and there are no refunds for these tickets.
The good news is that the California Resident deal is valid until May 21st. If you don’t have a California ID yet, you may be able to apply for one and have it in hand in time to still make use of the deal and make three magical visits to the parks before the offer expires! If you’re able to get your government-issued photo ID that shows you’re a California resident, purchase your 3-day Park Hopper right away! Don’t forget to
make park reservations after you purchase the tickets.
Rachel, I know this may not have been the exact answer you were hoping for, but there still might be time! If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to come right back to us at
planDisney. We’re here for all your planning questions! I hope you have a magical day!
