What if you don't buy park hopper can you still go to the other park ?

    Hi Cindy,

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

I love that you are thinking about park hopping between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park when you visit the Disneyland Resort.

To visit each of the Disneyland Resort theme parks in the same day, Cindy, you'll want to purchase a Park Hopper Ticket

When you visit a Disneyland Resort theme park, you'll need both a valid theme park admission and a valid theme park reservation for the same day.

When you purchase new theme park tickets, you'll be able to both purchase theme park tickets and make theme park reservations at the same time. When you make your ticket selections during the ticket purchasing process,  you'll be prompted to select your ticket type. This is the step in the process where you would choose either the One Park Per Day ticket type or the Park Hopper ticket type. With a Park Hopper ticket type, you would begin your theme park day in the park for which you made a reservation, and then you could visit the other theme park after 1 p.m. You could also hop back and forth between the parks until their closing times. Keep in mind that park capacity limitations will determine the ability to park hop.

Cindy, I hope you have an opportunity to make park hopping a part of your Disneyland Resort theme park plans. There's always so much magic to enjoy at each theme park, and park hopping is a great way to add even more magic to your day!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
