Hi Joy! Welcome BACK to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's always nice to see a familiar face.
I love that you asked about Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort Tour. I recently took the same tour and learned so much! While you are absolutely allowed to visit
every Disney Resort hotel to have a look around for yourself (Pro Tip - Animal Kingdom Lodge has a few viewing stations around the resort!) there are a few other offered tours:
~ Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground offers a
Back Trail Adventure. This a unique Segway tour will take you around the Lodge, circle around the Tri-Circle-Ranch, and even Bay Lake.
~ Both Fort Wilderness Resort and Disney's Port Orleans offer
horse drawn carriage rides through their resorts.
~ Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge offers two special animal encounters: Sense of Africa includes breakfast for you and then you go feed the animals. And the Starlight Safari is a very special nighttime ride, complete with night vision goggles, through the African Savannah.
You can check out an entire list of
available enchanting extras, or call (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529 for more information. If you do decide to resort hop on your own, can always ask a Cast Member for a bit of the hotel's history or the resorts lore. I know those at concierge desk would love to share!
Thank you for reaching out to us, Joy, and I hope you enjoy your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
