I have never done a split stay and have one scheduled for September. The first night is a room only at the Poly. My MDE account is showing two sets of MagicBands ordered. Is this right?

    Hi Jennifer!

Welcome back from your pals at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love how you are so well versed with the Walt Disney World lingo that you know the abbreviation for My Disney Experience and what a split stay is. Sounds like you are definitely looking forward to your fall vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

One of the MINNIE perks in staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel is having a MagicBand for each guest. Since you are doing a split stay and have two resort reservations, it’s double the fun with two sets of MagicBands! So your My Disney Experience account is exactly right in showing two sets for your family.

Here’s an acrostic spelling out (literally) just some of the amazing features and facts about MagicBands:

Manage your active MagicBands under My Profile in your My Disney Experience account
Able to customize and choose colors
Get them in advance of your trip by mail
Included for each Walt Disney World Resort hotel guest
Convenient hands free access to your room

Buy merchandise and food using your MagicBands
Access device for your FastPass+ selections and your PhotoPass shots
New designs and patterns can be purchased at all Parks, Disney Springs, and online at ShopDisney
Don’t pack them in your checked luggage because they can also be used for Disney's Magical Express check-in from Orlando International Airport to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel
Smiles all around from not having to carry so many bags or keep up with a room card!

Since you mentioned the first night of your stay will be at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, I must share with you one of my favorite experiences: The Twilight Feast. If an ‘Ohana meal is high on your priority list, enjoy it instead from the comfort of your resort room. I’m drooling just thinking about the delicious ‘Ohana Bread Pudding!

Jennifer, have fun designing those MagicBands! Meanwhile, feel free to check back in with the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any more questions before your vacation.
