I've done the Pick-a-Pearl experience in Japan at Epcot and loved it--I got a silver pearl and had it set in a cage pendant. I have a few loose pearls at home from old jewelry. Would I be able to bring them to the Japan pavilion and get them set?

    Hi Rebecca,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I love shopping at Epcot and visiting all the shops throughout the World Showcase pavilions. The Mitsukoshi Department Store in the Japan pavilion is always one of my favorite stores to explore.

How fun that you enjoyed the “Pick-A-Pearl" experience at Mitsukoshi Department Store to create your own pearl jewelry! I can imagine it's a beautiful and cherished piece of your jewelry collection. I reached out to the Mitsukoshi Department Store for you to ask if a Guest could bring in her own pearls from home to have them set. The Mitsukoshi Department Store Cast Member shared with me that, unfortunately, they can only work on settings for pearls that are selected in their store.

Rebecca, here's wishing you a wonderful stay for your next visit to Walt Disney World, and wishing you lots of fun if you return to Mitsukoshi Department Store to add to your pearls collection.

    Enjoy your Disney!

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
