Greetings, Carla!
I hope you are having a wonderful time planning practically perfect experiences for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It sounds like you are doing your research and looking into adding special options from the
Enchanting Extras Collection to make your trip even more magical.
While you may catch an occasional glimpse or two of a dolphin while visiting
SeaBase, they are really only highlighted as part of the
EPCOT Seas Adventures – Dolphins in Depth tour. This two-hour tour allows you to go behind the scenes, put on a wetsuit and meet and learn about dolphins. It includes a visit to the backstage area to find out about their care, training and research and then you'll get 30 minutes to interact with the bottle-nosed dolphins in waist-deep water. It's pretty incredible!
This experience can be booked up to 60 days ahead of your arrival and is very limited. If you aren't able to book, I do recommend checking each day, as cancellations do occur--especially as it gets closer to your visit. Same-day reservations and walk-ins can be made on a limited basis and are subject to availability.
While you're visiting SeaBase, be sure to check out the rest of the incredible sea life swimming through the 5.7 million-gallon aquarium. You'll find sea turtles, sharks, fish, rays, and my favorite--the
manatees. Many injured manatees have found themselves at SeaBase for rehabilitation over the years and I find it fascinating to learn about the rehabilitation process and watch them eat. Feeding times vary, so be sure to check the schedule on your EPCOT day.
No visit to SeaBase would be complete without a ride on
The Seas with Nemo & Friends. There's so much to see in this "big blue world" as you follow Dory and friends on a hunt to find Nemo. Then, after cruising the East Australian Current, head over to
Turtle Talk with Crush for a fun chat with everyone's favorite tubular sea turtle.
Have a wonderful vacation, Carla, and if there is anything else we are able to assist you with, please let us know. Thank you for visiting planDisney!
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
