Hi Dolly, I see you've experienced a number of Disney Cruises ie/ the Mediterranean. I will have a 14 and 7 year old. This will be our 1st Disney Cruise. Are the Mediterranean cruises too exhausting that you miss out on the true Disney experience?

Wow, Samantha -- you've got an awesome voyage picked out for your first Disney Cruise! Your 7 & 14 year old will have such a blast. My kids were about 7 & 9 when we traveled to the Med and they still talk about the trip to this day. Their curriculum at school helps them relive a lot of their memories, since they learn about Europe and they often say, "Hey, I've been there!" and that sparks all those magical memories once again! I just love the fact that they've learned so much on our Disney Cruises to various destinations, and there's always something memorable -- and magical :-) -- that puts a smile on my face every single time I hear them.

Disney Cruise puts that special touch on all their Youth Activities during a voyage -- it is entertaining, engaging and educational, all rolled into one! They make learning about the different ports of call so kid-friendly... and I must admit - I learned quite a few things myself! You'll want to review the Port Adventures and decide whether or not you want to bring them with you on certain days -- or opt to leave them on the ship to enjoy their day at the Youth Clubs. We did this a couple of times, since my husband and I wanted to explore certain places that we thought they wouldn't enjoy as much -- plus, the weather would have been very uncomfortable (hot & humid) for them. Sure enough, they appreciated that, since they had a blast with the activities that the youth counselors planned for them during the day. The Youth Clubs never get old.

Europe can be exhausting, so plan on pacing yourself. Too many things to see in so little time. The chefs on the cruise put in their special touches too, as they bring in local flavors into the menu each night. If you and your kids are willing to try local flavors, you'll get a good taste of it while on the cruise! Try and check out pre-night cruise stays too. It helps to get adjusted to the time. I'm almost of out of space, but let me know if you have other inquiries where I can help. ~Dolly
