I am doing the Wild Africa Trek on Oct 8 at 8 am. The park opens at 8 but they say you need to arrive 15 min earlier. How do I get into the park early, and do you recommend using the Minnie Van from Grand Floridian for this early morning appt.

Greetings and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lori!

You must be excited about your upcoming Wild Africa Trek experience! I love being at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park early in the morning when the animals seem more active!

You will be able to enter Disney’s Animal Kingdom early to check in for your experience, and all you have to do is present your confirmation number to Cast Members at park entrance. To get there this early I recommend taking a taxi or a Minnie Van from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Sometimes there will be early buses running to the parks to accommodate Guests with early breakfast reservations, so I recommend checking the updated bus schedule with Concierge if you would like to take the bus. Please allow at least 1.5 hours to get to a destination when using Disney transportation.
